"For, professing themselves to be wise, they became fools." (Romans 1:22)

"When FEAR knocks on your door, send FAITH to answer it."

The MHFM:
A Benedictine Community “Sui Generis”

"Sui Generis" is a Latin phrase, meaning:

  • … of its own kind;

  • … in a class by itself;

  • … unique.

… and that’s exactly what the Dimond Brothers’ self-identified, self-serving, purported Benedictine community (the Most Holy Family Monastery - MhFM) is … an Enchanting Lustful Lie; not coming to you sanctioned by the Church but rather from out of the darkness of pompous doubt.

The Dimond Brothers’ purported Fillmore, NY, Benedictine monastery contumaciously failed to obtain from the Church the ecclesiastic (canonical) credentials required to found a religious community within the Holy Order of St Benedict (OSB). These brothers opted to deceive the world and instead simply proclaimed themselves to be Benedictines and afterwards, on February 7, 2001, gave birth to the lucrative secular New York State not-for-profit (tax exempt), “business of religion”, they call MhFM.

If one will but look past the mesmerizing conspiratorial “theological mumbo jumbo” being charismatically presented, packaged, and sold by these two miscreants on the internet, the truth of their deception will manifest itself as being little more than an effective marketing strategy designed for the soliciting of donations.

The Dimond Brothers stand guilty before God of conspiring together to circumvent and oppose the laws of His Church by establishing, not from the light of revealed truth but rather from the darkness of deceit, an adulterated copy of a Benedictine community in order to enrich themselves financially like any tele-evangelical would.

Ask yourself, have these brothers ever explained or presented any evidence to the world, on their website or YouTube channel, indicating how they were chosen by God to become the last true Order of St Benedict and Christ’s remnant Church on earth?

I would surmise, and feel it safe to say, that these brothers have lost their way and their sense of reason. One can speculate that they have wittingly or unwittingly succumbed to the temptations of the “Father of Lies” and believe that they are a law unto themselves (Romans 2:14).

For it is only by listening to the “Father of Lies” that any devout Catholic could delude themselves into believing that “Epikeia” (the principle in ethics that a law can be broken to achieve a greater good) could be adopted and used in a matter of “self-convenience”.

And it was indeed a matter of "self-convenience" for the Dimond Brothers to audaciously claim the right of Epikeia in their willful breaking of the laws of the Church in order to establish their vainglorious religious community without first receiving “canonical provision”, as required by the 1917 Code of Canon Law:

Canon 147: “An ecclesiastical office cannot be validly obtained without canonical provision. Canonical provision means the grant of an ecclesiastical office by competent ecclesiastical authority, made according to the sacred canons.”

The Holy Rule of St Benedict makes it clear, concerening monks:

“The first kind [true Benedictines] is that of Cenobites, that is, the monastic, who live under a rule and an Abbot [a Bishop].”

The Dimond Brothers’ being un-professed, un-ordained, laymen will never be true Benedictines; no matter how much they wish it to be otherwise.

Don’t be deceived …

The MhFM is an Enchanting Lustful Lie; which came into being "outside the laws which govern the Church" and thus is the exact opposite of what constitutes a true Benedictine community.

Denzinger: Sources of Catholic Dogma: 967 Canon 7:

“If anyone says that ... those who have been neither rightly ordained nor sent by ecclesiastical and canonical authority, but come from a different source, are lawful ministers of the word …: let him be anathema [cf. n. 960].”
